It’s me again and that’s another
month gone by since the last load of rubbish from up market Possilpark
by the Canal. Some of you who have known us for a long time may
remember that I was involved with the Nolly Barge project many
years ago which was set up to provide holidays for disabled groups
and was moored outside the offices of The British Waterways. I
was up there yesterday and there were 9 barges moored, some of
which had people living on them and another 5 boats. So, this
proves Possilpark is becoming a holiday resort. Watch for us on
“Wish you were here.”
Wee funny story! There was a man who had worked hard saved all
of his money, and was a real miser. Just before he died, he said
to his wife, "When I die, I want you to take all my money
and put it in the coffin with me. I want to take it with me. His
wife dutifully promised that she would do this. Well, he died.
He was in his coffin, his wife was sitting there in black and
her friend was sitting next to her. When they finished the ceremony,
just before the undertakers closed the box, the wife said, "Wait
just a minute!" She came over with a box and put it in the
casket. The undertakers locked the casket down, and they rolled
it away. Her friend said, " I know you weren't fool enough
to put all that money in there with your husband." The loyal
wife replied, "Listen, I'm a Christian, I can't go back on
my word. I promised him that I was going to put that money in
that casket with him." "You mean to tell me you put
that money in with him?" "I sure did," said the
wife. "I got it all together, put it into my account and
wrote him a cheque. If he can cash it, he can spend it."
Corinne can manage to spend money anywhere, anytime, and we now
have a new reception, new carpets throughout and the building
outside is being painted. She is doing a great job and the place
looks much brighter. The Parts Department is being reorganized
and there is great departmental debate on who needs the extra
space the most.
July was a record month for us with Coachworks and Trailershop
bursting at the seams and August has finished the same. It doesn’t
look like calming down now until the end of October but we have
left some slots for your emergency repairs.
| Graffix
helped the Hutton family by providing the graphics for the
Lochwinnoch Wheelie Bin Grand Prix. We had 3 fantastically
decorated bins - Colin Huttons (We’ve ‘bin’
in business now a ‘wheelie’ long time), The Howwood
Inn Girls (Howwood Inn barmaids ‘wheelie’ suck)
and The Howwood Inn Boys (Danger – Bin Laiden). |

We
were in about 5 events and Corinne & Kate were the only
ones to win a prize! I definitely think there is a huge market
for Graffix in this so if you have a burning desire to have
a family photo on your wheelie bin give Gordon a ring. |
Hoping this month will be as good. Regards to
all.
