Welcome Customers to our monthly manual as we March into Spring. This last month has been a testing one with so much work in that we are bursting at the seems in most areas. Although I’d far rather be busy than begging for work, we obviously need to turn it around just as quickly and right first time. It also is the month when we have had more sickness than any other though and all for genuine reasons, so I can’t blame the workload. All in all a challenging month but then I don’t think there is any such thing as an easy ride in this industry. Isn’t it more rewarding that way though? One thought for the day this month was “The most wasted of all days is that during which one has not laughed” the best medicine, I think. Keep having your bumps and bashes please to keep us challenged! We have had 5 new employees in February to cope with this workload and to strengthen out current team and I hope they get a chance to impress you with their skills soon. We sadly lost a long serving staff member to the golf course this month. George Hendrie chose the easy life over that of trailer fitter and who could blame him. We wish him a happy and healthy retirement and I look forward to the next 30 (!!) years passing quickly so that I can do the same! Aside from awarding George this month, we also awarded our employee of the month for February to John McCullagh who many of you will know as one of our mobile repairers whose job it is to attend your site or roadside breakdown and get your vehicles and trailers back on the road. John received this award last year when, together with Huge Goldie, he reached 25 years service with our Company. This time John receives it purely on good service and particularly long hours this month although he rarely works a bare week any other time. Thanks to John for taking on those late jobs on wet, cold nights.
