Welcome
to the June edition of unmissable gossip from Stronend Street
and this month will be no different from any other in terms of
exciting content!
Thanks
to all for the good wishes for our newest arrival Huck Hutton
and his parents. You can see the bold boy, his Dad and Grampa
in the next edition of Transport News in which he is sporting
his Company colours and the slogan “Colin Hutton’s
my Grampa” spread across his chest - It was either that
or “I’m a Colin Hutton Groupie” or “Huck
loves Trucks”. I should have made a competition out of it!
I
am pleased to say we landed ourselves the contract to be the service
agent in Scotland for Lawrence David Trailers last week and its
all credit to our Trailershop who have been building their knowledge
on trailers for the last 29 years. This contract, added to the
work we obtain from SDC and Montracon ensures that Customers in
Scotland have highly qualified, after sales representatives of
their trailer manufacturers nearby without the inconvenience of
getting to South of the Border. We can also ensure that any accident
damage repair does not affect your warranty from that manufacturer.
Everyone’s a winner there. We are hopeful of another big
move on a similar vein soon so watch this space.
In
addition to these trailer repairs, we can also offer a full parts
service, maintenance programme, annual MOT, taillift weight test,
brake test, bodybuild, shotblast, paint and livery etc on all
commercial vehicles from Vans to HGVs. This “1 stop shop“
is aimed at saving down time and getting profitability up. If
you have staff on holiday soon, why not use the downtime to repair
their vehicles for their return? Ancient Chinese proverb : “Man
who scratch ass should not bite fingernails”!
Thankfully
this is not relevant to our Employee of the Month, Ricky Palmer
a Senior Spray Painter in Coachworks. Ricky was nominated not
just because he’s helpful, efficient, flexible and conscientious
but also because he can turn into a concrete master craftsman
at the weekend. Thanks to Ricky the Bricky for all his efforts.
Guess what one he is on www.colinhutton.com
Graffix
Detail, our vehicle livery business is branching out and investing
in additional equipment to allow them to carry out a greater scope
of printing. This will mean we can do all printing in house instead
of costly sub contract. Everyone now a days needs livery on their
vehicles from their Company Cars to their fleet and what better
way to advertise than to have your Company logo driving around
all day for all to see. If you still have the anonymous “white
van” or yours has tired old designs on, you are missing
out on being noticed on the M8. It needn’t be an expensive
option and may cost far less than your advertising budget. Call
us for a free estimate.
