Hello and Happy New Year. I know
its late but our staff will (falsely) tell you that I had most
of the month off in the Maldives. In fact I had 10 days away but
it probably seems longer to those who had to do without me. Sorry
if the standards slipped during that time but it proves they need
me! In fact, my skills of delegation are so good, I’m sure
no-one noticed I was gone!
Anyway, enough about me, our superstar Employee
of the Month was a popular choice in Ian Cairns who is our driver
in Coachworks. ‘Mr Happy’ has a smile for everyone,
all the time and I’m certain there are times when he feels
rather different. Many Customers will know Ian from uplifting
and delivering your vehicles so feel free to tease him about his
new ‘heightened’ profile.
Special Valentines offer - free with all work
delivered into us for the month of February - a special kiss from
Pat in Reception – quote offer code “Love You”
to receive yours.
We are currently advertising for mechanics and
coachbuilders as we can’t cope with the levels of work coming
in. If you know anyone looking for work, let me know, please.
Daily Record advertising costs much more than this newsletter
and you know what happens when we reduce or costs – yes,
we get better paid!
We’ve just started a new panel beater too
as Michael has our current panel beaters working round the clock
to meet demands. Paintshop could take more though so if its time
for your image facelift or you’ve been meaning to get some
paintwork done, this would be a good time to keep your off road
time down.
Lastly a mention for our new boy – Alec McLean started with
us full time at the beginning of January. He is trying to meet
as many Customers as he can in a short time and to make sure you
make the best possible use of all our services. Alec turned 50
at the end of last month but unfortunately had the worst of celebrations
when he discovered on his birthday that the rash he’d had
for a few days was actually shingles. We’ve had him quarantined
for a few weeks now and he should be safe to be out in public.
Again, another one to tease if you meet him – maybe leave
a few feet between you though!
Work hard, play hard in February.
