Happy Easter everyone and welcome to the Possil Park Prattle for April.

Thank you to our Suppliers (and some Customers) who felt they wanted to assist our campaign to raise funds for Maggies Cancer Care. We have raised some £1700 from you alone and we have quite a few pledges of more. If you can see your way to throwing a few quid our way, between us we can make a difference for sufferers and their families.

Our Employee of the Month for March was awarded to an apprentice Coachbuilder Andrew Etherton so we’re putting his name up in lights for the month as a thank you for his efforts. Apprentice wages aren’t that great, I know and so Andrew gets a wee boost this month for being so good at helping with our big clear up and doing some of the less popular jobs (with a smile) that we felt he stood out a bit this month. Well done to Andrew who has the makings of a great coachbuilder and a good attitude towards hard graft.

We’re welcoming back an old hand this month in the form of Sandra Cameron who many of you will remember. Sandra started as a school leaver with us 16 years ago and worked in the administration of Coachworks and Trailershop. She left us to spend more time with her daughter 4 years ago but we’ve wooed her back to do credit control (amongst other things). So if you hear from Sandra, its probably for the wrong reasons and she’ll be on to pester you but I’m sure she’ll manage a chat too.

I mentioned earlier about our big clear up and on e of the reasons for that is that we need more space to accommodate the Used Trailers Fleet that Alex McLean is involved in. Every little area that was storage or dumping ground has had to be utilised better to ensure we have a good selection to show. Should you be interested in this area, give Alex a call. Remember if you have a specification that we don’t have or fleet colours you would like to promote, our Trailershop can convert add or subtract from each trailer and Coachworks and Graffix Detail can make it look like a brand new purchase for a fraction of the price.

I may have mentioned before our 30th year birthday celebrations which will go on for most of the year and building up to our anniversary in November when Mum and Dad hope to step down and enjoy the quite life. Amongst the Customer and staff thank yous will be some competition days and we would like to invite any of you out there who think they can take us on a go-carting, 10 pin bowling and paintballing to come forward and take the challenge. We’ll be organising this soon for late summer/autumn and need some real strong teams to make it worth our while!!
